The Chamber announces Feb. 6 through 10 as Download the Future week for Nacogdoches County. “The initiative seeks to show students in the county the benefits and county wide support of pursuing education after high school whether it be in a university or technical school setting,” said Community Development Vice Chair Rayanne Schmid. The week’s highlight will be a Career Fair for all county and Nacogdoches I.S.D. eighth grade students, 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., Thursday, Feb. 9 in the SFA William R. Johnson Coliseum. Schmid invites all Chamber members to consider participating by sharing career experiences and advice with the more than 800 students expected to attend.
