The Nacogdoches County Chamber of Commerce held a ribbon cutting ceremony for Cushing Elementary, 1088 W. Bearkat Dr. in Cushing, 936-645-7776, www.cushingisd.org.

School Board President Brett Reeves, Principal Melanie Pettit, Superintendent Michael S. Davis and Maintenance Director John Fergerson welcomed sponsors, Chamber members and guests.
