3-124 CAV (Task Force Raptor) FRG headquartered in Wylie, Texas, consisting of soldiers and families from Angelina, Bastrop, Collin, Denton, Harris, Kaufman, Grayson, Nacogdoches, Rockwall, Travis, and Dallas counties; in partnership with the Texas National Guard Family Support Foundation, TXNGFSF, is hosting a Homecoming and Farewell Ceremony on 03 December 2011 in the DFW area.   The event is being conducted to recognize the efforts and sacrifices of the soldiers and families of the unit to Operation Enduring Freedom in Afghanistan and upcoming deployment to the Horn of Africa.  This event will also recognize the tireless efforts and commitment of the volunteers who have and will assist these families throughout these deployments.

We are expecting over 1,000 attendees, to include the members of 3-124 CAV and their families. The units of Task Force Raptor are located in Wylie, Denison, Terrell, Seagoville, Lufkin, Nacogdoches, and Houston.  We greatly appreciate your contributions in sponsoring this event.

We would like to ask for charitable donations which will assist in providing food, lodging and activities for the service members, their families and volunteers.  All donations are tax deductible as the Foundation is a 501 (c) 3, non-profit, charitable organization, Tax Exempt ID: 20-1850234.  Funds in excess of our requirement for this event will be used to support our soldiers and families before, during, and after deployments.
