LUFKIN, TX (October 27, 2021): The Angelina Arts Alliance is delighted to announce that award-winning circus performer Popovich will bring his family-friendly show Popovich Comedy Pet Theater to Lufkin’s Temple Theater on January 23, 2022, at 2 p.m. Voted “Best Family Show” in Vegas, this circus extravaganza features juggling, acrobatics, animals, and much more! This performance replaces the Erth’s Dinosaur Zoo Live performance previously scheduled to perform but was cancelled by the artist.

Ticket prices are $11 for adults to $6 for youth 17 and under. Tickets for this event are on sale now and can be purchased at the Angelina Arts Alliance Box Office at 108 S. First Street, Lufkin, TX 75901. Tickets can also be purchased online at www.angelinaarts.org or by phone at 936-633-5454.

Popovich Comedy Pet Theater is the most beloved family show in the world, featuring European-style circus extravaganza including physical comedy, juggling, acrobats from the Moscow Circus, highly intelligent dogs and even house cats! All the pets are trained using positive reinforcement techniques and enhancing their natural abilities. Popovich, a fifth generation circus performer who learned early on how to develop strong bonds with animals, has rescued a majority of his performers from shelters all over the country and has transformed them into Las Vegas stars. He is a gold medal winner in Paris, France and a special award winner in Monte Carlo. Gregory and his pets were finalists on “America’s Got Talent”, were guests on TV shows with Jay Leno, David Letterman, Craig Ferguson, was a feature on Animal Planet and many, many more. BELLA GAIA

Discover what it’s like to be an astronaut! Bella Gaia (Beautiful Earth) is an unprecedented audio-visual experience that combines NASA satellite imagery of Earth, time-lapse nature photography, and live world music and dance on stage. Inspired by astronauts who spoke of the life-changing power of seeing Earth from space, director/composer Kenji Williams’ award-winning Bella Gaia successfully simulates the overview effect from space flight, by using NASA supercomputer data-visualizations, combined with a shimmering melodic and rhythmic soundscape to explore the relationship between humans and nature throughout time and space. This is a mesmerizing multi-media spectacle that shouldn’t be missed!

THE UNDERWATER BUBBLE SHOW

nspired by childhood standards like Alice in Wonderland, The Little Mermaid and Peter Pan, The Underwater Bubble Show is a modern fairy tale with one major twist. Taking cues from Cirque du Soleil, the visually spectacular show incorporates the latest in stage technology. Lasers, low ground smoke and flying foam simulate waves and the underwater atmosphere.

MADAGASCAR--THE MUSICAL

JUNE 12, 2022 | 2 PM

Based on the smash hit DreamWorks’ animated motion picture, Madagascar – The Musical follows all your favorite cracka-lackin’ friends (Alex the Lion, Marty the Zebra, Melman the Giraffe, Gloria the hip hip Hippo and a colony of hilarious, clever penguins) as they escape from their home in New York’s Central Park Zoo and find themselves on an unexpected journey to the madcap world of King Julien’s Madagascar. Filled with outlandish characters, adventures galore and an upbeat score, you’ll have no choice but to “Move It, Move It!” Madagascar – The Musical is the perfect family outing, with vibrancy and pace for the kids and more complex innuendo for the adults.
