The East Texas Spring Online Auction goes "live" on April 15.

Go online and bid on great items and travel packages collected from local merchants and others around the state. Auction runs April 15 through May 14.

According to Chamber Executive Assistant Barbara Holl, the auction highlights the cities and towns in Texas. Bidders will find sports and fine arts packages and have a ready-made family vacations, or bid on local items and have fun in Nacogdoches.

Mary's blueberry report

As most of us are, the blueberry plants are enjoying this warm spring weather!  They have burst into bloom and are busy making many delicious blueberries. Looks like a good crop this year!

April 8 - Tyler Chamber Day. From 6 a.m. - 5 p.m., Chamber representatives will promote Nacogdoches - tourism, SFA, retirement - at Tyler Pounds Regional Airport. You can help and attend the Tyler Area Chamber Business After Hours from 5 - 7 p.m.
 
April 17 - Ribbon Cutting, 10 a.m., Appleby Fire Department, 14760 U.S. Hwy. 59 N.
Chief Tim Hooper, Assistant Chief Dave Crawford, 559-5166. New facility. Barbecue dinner begins at 11 am. $9/plate, eat in or take out.
 
April 20 - Ribbon Cutting, 4:45 p.m., Pizza Hut of Nacogdoches, 2619 North St. Owners Paula and Larry Marshall; General Manager Priscilla Ward, 569-7257. 40 year anniversary and restaurant remodel. Open House from 5 - 6 p.m. Hot Food Bar open and refreshing beverages will be served to guests.
 
April 21 - Ribbon Cutting, 1:20 p.m., Pinto Pony Cookie Factory, Chamber lobby, 2516 North St. Owner Samye Johnson, 288-0606. Join us for a crisp, crunchy and delicious celebration!

April 23 - Fourth Friday Luncheon, noon - 1p.m., at the Fredonia Banita Ballroom. Registration required.
 
May 7 - Blueberry Golf Bash. Piney Woods Country Club.
 
June 12 - Texas Blueberry Festival, 8 a.m. - 4 p.m., downtown and Festival Plaza.
