The Judy B. McDonald Public Library presents Makerspace: Wearable Electronics, the next in a series of Maker events on Monday, June 22nd at 5:30 p.m. This free program will teach tweens and teens how to connect circuits in clothes and accessories using conductive thread. “We’ve already had Makerspace programs on soldering and microcontrollers, so we’re taking our know-how to a new level,” says Crystal Hicks, assistant library director. “We have some very talented youth who are eager to learn how to do and make new things, so we’re more than happy to offer them the opportunity to do so.” Registration for this program is required.
Please call 559-2970 to sign up. More Makerspace programs are planned throughout the summer and beyond, so check out the library’s website, www.ci.nacogdoches.tx.us/library, for more information.
