If your New Year’s Resolution is to meet people and learn Spanish, then the Judy B. McDonald Public Library has just the program. The library is offering a second Spanish/English Conversation Group on alternating Mondays at 5:00 p.m. beginning February 2nd. This is in addition to the original conversation group that meets every Tuesday at noon.
“This is a great way to learn another language. We have had people ask if we offer English or Spanish classes. While this is not a class, this is one avenue for English-speakers who are interested in practicing their Spanish skills to meet with Spanish-speakers who want to practice their English skills. We converse in one language for the first half-hour then switch to the other language for the second half-hour. We learn from each other and have a great time. All levels of speaking abilities are welcome. No registration is required,” says Mercedes Franks, library director.
