The Nacogdoches County Chamber of Commerce requests nominations for Citizen of the Year and the 2014 Gary Justice Business Excellence Awards - small, medium and large businesses of the year - be submitted by July 16.
“The Chamber treasures this opportunity to honor businesses and citizens who make Nacogdoches a fantastic place to work and play,” said Rayanne DuChane, chamber chair. “Please consider nominating a person or business for the highest honor the Chamber can bestow."
Nominations will be considered for Nacogdoches County businesses that deserve recognition based on economic impact, community involvement and leadership. Nominate a person for Citizen of the Year who deserves recognition based on personal achievements and for leadership and community involvement. A list of past award recipients is noted on the form.
Chamber members will receive the nomination forms in the chamber’s July mail packet. The forms are also available at the chamber of commerce and online at nacogdoches.org. Anyone may make a nomination, and the awardees will be honored in at the 93rd Annual Meeting and Membership Banquet on Sept. 30.
