The Nacogdoches ISD Parent Resource Center, 609 Mound St., remains open during the summer months and has family activities planned to keep kids' minds active.
An exploration of Dr. Seuss books begins this Saturday from 10 to 11 a.m. with five books and related activities scheduled between then and Aug. 9.
Also, a Family Summer Reading Challenge allows families to take a literary adventure and be entered in a monthly drawing for prizes. A guide and journal is available to mark progress. Summer reading backpacks with books and activities can be checked out at the PRC, as well.
