Students in eighth through 11th grades can learn about their options for taking courses at Nacogdoches High School during the first Academic Expo.
Teachers from every course will be on hand to explain the class content from 5:30 to 8 p.m. on Monday, March 24 in the competition gym.
NHS Principal Kenneth Wooten compared the expo’s atmosphere to a college fair, where students and parents may walk around and learn about class choices. Teachers will be at marked tables ready to talk about their areas of specialty.
Wooten also said it is a good opportunity for students and parents to learn about the many electives offered at the high school.
In addition, eighth graders attending the expo will receive the first opportunity to register for their ninth grade courses.
