Coaches clinic brings home football talk
NACOGDOCHES — East Texas and surrounding area football coaches get insight from college and playoff coaches during a day-long clinic right here in Nacogdoches.
The second annual ETX Football Coach’s Clinic, sponsored by Rex Perry Autoplex, BSN Sports, and East Texas Sports Center, begins with registration at 9 a.m. on Saturday, Feb. 1, at The Quality Inn, 3400 South St. It brings together speakers with proven success on the field to talk about their techniques and trials.
Among those scheduled to speak are Brooke Stafford, Defensive Coordinator for Lufkin High School; Bobby Reyes, Head Football Coach, Nacogdoches High School; Brandon Helms, Head Coach Natchitoches Central High School; Reid Spivey, Defensive Coordinator Garrison High School, Chris Babin, Head Coach Deweyville High School.
The clinic, under the direction of John Launius; Athletic Director and Head Football Coach for Hemphill ISD, will include free beverages and door prizes.
