The SFA Campus Recreation Center and the SFA Alumni Association will host the Lumberjack Homecoming Certified 5K. Taking their marks on Saturday, Oct. 19, at 8 a.m. students, alumni and families can walk or run the course.

The race will begin in the parking lot behind Schlief Tennis Complex, corner of Wilson and Starr. The runners wave will begin promptly at 8 a.m. and the walkers will begin at 8:10 a.m.

Students can pre-register for $20. Faculty, staff, alumni, and community can pre-register for $25. The prices will increase by $10 starting Oct. 11. Pre-registration is available online at www.active.com/running/nacogdoches-tx/lumberjack-homecoming-5k-2013.

T-shirts are guaranteed for the first 100 participants. You can pick up your registration packets on Friday, Oct. 18 between 6 a.m. and 8 p.m. at the SFA Recreation Center Welcome Desk. Race day packet pickup and late registration will begin at 7:00 a.m. at the race site.

Awards will be given to the overall male and female winner, plus the top 3 males and females in the following age groups: 10-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60+. Additional prize this year will be awarded to the largest group.

All proceeds from this event will benefit the Dr. Raymond Lee Worsham Scholarship Fund for Campus Recreation employees.
