The second annual Running of the Blueberries 5K benefiting Dog Park Nacogdoches kicked off the festival, as more than a dozen four-legged friends and 255 walkers and runners made the trek through the trails of Nacogdoches. The top ten overall finishers were: Gerardo Moreno, first place; Ricardo Maldonaldo, second place; R.J Burris, third place; Shawn Berry, fourth place; Jesus Jaramillo, fifth place; Randi Plentl, sixth place; Porfirio Trejo, seventh place; Meredith Blocker, eighth place; Armando Bocanegra, ninth place; and Scott Harris, tenth place.
