COVID-19 screening instructions from Nacogdoches Memorial Health: 1. Patient MUST consult a physician/provider to receive COVID test order. Patients should call physician office or community clinic first for instructions. All healthcare providers would prefer to avoid walk-in COVID-19 patients for the safety of staff & patients. 2. Physician office/clinic will fax appropriate paperwork to Nacogdoches Memorial’s admissions center who will call patient to schedule testing appointment & give procedural instructions. 3. Patients can't drive up to outpatient testing tent without appointment. Patients with severe or sudden worsening of symptoms, especially shortness of breath, trouble breathing or chest pain, should report to ER for evaluation.
