A non-profit organization dedicated to enriching the lives of individuals who have Alzheimer’s/Dementia, individuals who are physically or mentally challenged and the families who support and care for them. The Treatment Center offers a highly unique Alzheimer’s Day Activity Program — four hours a day, five days a week — which includes activities that promote memory function, self-esteem and social interaction in a safe, stimulating environment. The program is designed to provide constant supervision and attention to clients who participate in activities such as light physical exercise, word and trivia games, music, singing, bingo and simple art projects. The Treatment Center also hosts an Alzheimer’s/Dementia Support Group, which meets at noon the second and last Thursday of each month. Group discussions provide support and comfort to caregivers who have family members with these debilitating diseases. Also, the center has added a small personal care home which provides 24-hour care for three individuals with dementia.
