NACOGDOCHES, TX, SEPTEMBER 30, 2019 -- The Board of Directors of the Texas Forest Trail Region welcomes Del Polikretis as their new Executive Director. Polikretis currently serves as a managing member of ETXLife.com, an East Texas lifestyle blog, guide and market. Polikretis will assume his duties when current Forest Trail director Marty Prince steps down in October.
Polikretis holds a B.A. in Communications/Public Relations from Cal State Fullerton and a MBA from Pepperdine University. He brings over a decade of leadership and management experience in private, government and corporate sectors. Polikretis also has an exceptional record of helping businesses grow through operational profit and loss oversight, social media marketing, fundraising and business development.

We received over 65 applications and narrowed the field to nine very strong candidates. When we met with Del, there was no question that he was the right person for this position. He is the self-motivated, experienced and passionate candidate we were looking for.”

The Texas Forest Trail Region is a regional tourism initiative developed by the Texas Historical Commission that fosters regional economic development by promoting heritage tourism through the preservation of cultural and historic resources and regional partnerships. The Texas Forest Trail Region encompasses 35 counties in East Texas including Anderson, Angelina, Bowie, Camp, Cass, Cherokee, Franklin, Gregg, Hardin, Harrison, Henderson, Houston, Jasper, Jefferson, Marion, Montgomery, Morris, Nacogdoches, Newton, Orange, Panola, Polk, Red River, Rusk, Sabine, San Augustine, San Jacinto, Shelby, Smith, Titus, Trinity, Tyler, Upshur, Walker and Wood.
