Nacogdoches CVB announces “Capturing Nacogdoches” photo contest
The Nacogdoches Convention and Visitors Bureau is hosting a photo contest titled, “Capturing Nacogdoches.”
Entries will be accepted Monday, Aug. 27, through Friday, Sept. 28. A maximum of two photos, which must be taken in Nacogdoches County, may be submitted and fall into one of seven designated categories: Culture, downtown, history, nature, nightlife, SFA and young photographer (under age 18.)
Entries must be submitted digitally via email to Stephanie@VisitNacogdoches.org and in-person on an 11x14-inch mat to the Charles Bright Visitor Center. All photos submitted should be 300dpi and 8x11 inches when printed and matted.
The contest is a juried competition. Photos submitted will be displayed during a reception Thursday, Oct. 4, at the visitor center, located at 200 E. Main St. in downtown Nacogdoches. Three overall winners will be selected and will receive cash prizes along with an honorable mention for each category.
“The photo contest is a great opportunity for the CVB to feature local talent and to build upon our library of images that is constantly used to showcase our unique destination in a variety of ways,” said Stephanie Fontenot, marketing director for the Nacogdoches CVB.
