People who dream of starting and growing a successful business are signing up for the Nacogdoches County Chamber’s annual Business Boot Camp.
“Attendees will learn from experts in the legal, accounting, advertising, marketing and social media fields,” said Chamber Chair Rayanne DuChane. “The boot camp is an annual event produced by the Chamber’s Business Development division led by Vice Chair Jason Gound. In addition to the presentations, the ability to ask questions and discuss issues directly with the speakers is truly valuable.”
Two evening workshops are offered. Both begin at 5:30 p.m. A light supper will be provided.
On Monday, March 3 the workshop is Legal & Accounting - “Organizing to Make a Profit” presented by Justin Blount, assistant professor, Business Communication & Legal Studies, SFASU, and Carla M. Morgan, CPA, Rodrigues & Morgan, LLC.
On Tuesday, March 4 the workshop will be Advertising & Marketing -“Finding Prospects and Reaching Customers” presented by Starla Bickerstaff, station manager, KTRE-TV, and Robin Land, publisher, The Daily Sentinel.
“The cost is very affordable, but space is limited,” DuChane said. Registration is $20 per session for Chamber members, or $35 for both sessions. Cost is $30 for non-members or $55 for both sessions.
