Curious for a peek at next year’s expected employment trends for employers and employees? Get the “2012 Employment Outlook” and meet speaker Marilyn Hartsook (pictured), operations director, Workforce Solutions Deep East Texas Planning at the Nacogdoches County Chamber of Commerce and the Pineywoods Society of Human Resource Management (SHRM) Fourth Friday Luncheon. The event is noon to 1 p.m., Dec. 9 at Hotel Fredonia.

“Issues affecting the employment outlook, how the workforce is changing and what industries and jobs look good for 2012 will be some of the main points covered in the presentation,” Hartsook said.

Hartsook has been involved in workforce development since 1988 as an eligibility specialist and program monitor with Deep East Texas Council of Governments. In 2001, Hartsook graduated magna cum laude from Stephen F. Austin State University with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree.

She moved to Lufkin in 1985 where she reared her two children, and she now enjoys “the two most beautiful and wonderful grandchildren in all of Texas,” she said.
