Nacogdoches County Chamber of Commerce Earn Awards in Marketing Competition
The Nacogdoches County Chamber of Commerce took home honors in the 2011 Marketing Awards presented by the Texas Festivals & Events Association (TFEA) at their annual Conference earlier this month in Corpus Christi. The Texas Blueberry Festival, presented by Brookshire Brothers, which competed with other events with a budget of under $75,000, took first-place for Best Promotional Poster and second-place for Best T-shirt Design.
Point A Media owner Angie Brewer is the creator of the award-winning design, and Brewer worked with Tattoo Productions owner James Crow to produce the t-shirt. A limited number of both items are available for sale at the Nacogdoches County Chamber located at 2516 North St.
The poster design and other marketing materials also took first place earlier this year in the Texas Chamber of Commerce Executives (TCCE) annual media awards contest.
The TFEA Marketing Awards program recognizes excellence in marketing campaigns used to promote festivals and events. “This competition recognizes the creativity and professionalism of the Texas festivals and events industry,” said TFEA Executive Director Debbie Farquhar-Garner. More than 340 entries were received this year for the competition.
