PineyWoods Pediatrics, P.A. Opens New Office
Starting Tuesday, August 24, Dr. Amy Huggins will serve patients in a new Nacogdoches location –
3614 N. University Drive. Dr. Beth Mazer is joining Huggins in the opening of PineyWoods Pediatrics, P.A. Huggins and Mazer are certified by the American Board of Pediatrics to provide medical care for children, adolescents and young adults.
“Keeping kids healthy takes love, patience and care.” Huggins said. “We love East Texas and we are grateful for the opportunity to serve families in this wonderful community.”
PineyWoods Pediatrics, P.A. offers a wide range of in-office services to meet the needs of patients and their families, including: developmental, hearing and vision screening; immunizations, lactation consulting, school physicals and well-child checkups. The new office space is designed to provide a friendly environment for medical, development and emotional well being.
“PineyWoods Pediatrics, P.A. is your family’s total resource for raising healthy and happy children,” Mazer said. “We look forward to seeing kids grow in our new location.”
East Texas is home for Huggins, who was raised in Lufkin. After graduating from Lufkin High School, Huggins attended Texas A&M University. She completed medical school at the University of North Texas Health Science Center and her residency in Pediatrics at the Medical University of South Carolina where she served as Chief Resident. In 2006, Huggins opened a private practice in Nacogdoches. Huggins is a member of the Texas Pediatrics Association, Texas Medical Association and the American Academy of Pediatrics. She attends Grace Bible Church in Nacogdoches and is an active member of the Nacogdoches County Chamber of Commerce and the CASA Advisory Board.
Mazer has traveled the world, but she calls Texas home. She was born in Lubbock and graduated from Texas Senior High School in Texarkana, Texas. Mazer earned her undergraduate degree from Austin College. She completed medical school at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio and her residencies in Pediatrics at Baystate Medical Center in Springfield, Mass. and Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center in Amarillo, Tex.
Mazer’s experience includes service as a private pediatrician and as the pediatrician for clinics operated by Nacogdoches Memorial Hospital in Cushing, Etoile and Garrison. Mazer is proficient in Spanish and a member of the Texas Pediatrics Association, Texas Medical Association and the American Academy of Pediatrics. She attends First Methodist Church in Nacogdoches.
