Join hosts Party 'N Things and BancorpSouth at Alive After Five, 5:30 to 7 p.m., on Thursday, May 20, at the new Party 'N Things location, 3801 North St., Ste. 3, in Northview Plaza. Everyone is also invited to attend the ribbon cutting at 5:10 p.m.

Fourth Friday Luncheon moves to May 21 and dodges Memorial Day weekend. The event is noon - 1 p.m. in the Hotel Fredonia Banita Ballroom. Brian McClain, director of the Small Business Development Center at Angelina College, will present "Starting or Expanding Your Business -planning and research lead to success."

5/3/10 - The crop looks great! The bees did their jobs well this spring! Mother nature cooperated, and we were spared any late freezes... Looks like we will have plenty of good blueberries this summer.

May 5     L.O.T. (Leaders of Tomorrow) Graduation, C.L. Simon Recreation Center. Program coordinator Tracy Rucker thanks the following: all county school districts; NISD for providing transportation; Woden ISD for providing transportation to the retreat; and graduation keynote speaker Kori Yates, the founder of L.O.T. and continuing program supporter. L.O.T. is a Chamber program.
