Hi everyone, it is quickly approaching that time again, for SFA Showcase Saturday!!!!
If you are receiving this email, you’ve volunteered in the past, we think you would be interested in volunteering, or you are a member of a group that might have interest in volunteering!
Fall Showcase Saturday is approaching on November 10; The Chamber of Commerce is looking for 10-14 volunteers to represent the Nacogdoches business community and greet potential SFA students and their families. As usual, most of the volunteering will be from 10:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. You will be assigned spots to greet inside and outside of the building, and some help may be needed at the registration tables. Two volunteers are needed to work the 2:30 – 4:30 p.m. table for the City of Nacogdoches at the Student Service Fair. If you have give aways for this table, please let me know!
Full details will be given at the orientation at 10:30 a.m. on the morning of Showcase Saturday.
New this year: There will be one early bird session beginning at 11:30 a.m. This session will last until 12:30 p.m.
All you have to do is show up, wear purple, and greet prospective students and their families to SFA, and to Nacogdoches! It’s really a great time, and everyone who has volunteered has really enjoyed it. I also recommend to wear you company/organization name tag so that they see you are members of the community, – and it helps out your business as well with a little free publicity!
Please let me know if you are interested in helping and which session/what time. I’ll send out an email with more details for all of the volunteers.
