Fourth Friday Luncheon is noon to 1 p.m., Aug. 26 at Austin Hall, 4603 North St. State Rep. Travis Clardy (pictured) will present "The Next 300 Years in Nacogdoches." Gold sponsors are Stan Lenox, III, and Suddenlink Communications.

With Nacogdoches' Tricentennial on our minds, many wonder what the next three hundred years will bring to Texas," Clardy said. "When the 85th Legislature convenes in January 2017, I'm looking forward to more meaningful and productive conversation about who we are and who we want to be as Texans. At the Lone Star Legislative Summit in March, we thoughtfully examined better approaches to  health care delivery, the best ways to educate our children, and how to  generate more opportunities for Texans to better their lives. Now is the time to put our plans into action and for Texas to continue to lead the way."

Luncheon reservations are required by 4:30 p.m., Wednesday, Aug. 24 use the secure “register and pay online” option by clicking the Add to Cart button or call the Chamber at 936-560-5533. Lunch is $16. All attendees will be entered in a $50 cash drawing, and every Chamber member is entered in a $250 drawing, but you must be present to win. Cash drawings are sponsored by Axley & Rode, LLP and Commercial Bank of Texas.
