NOTICE TO CUSTOMERS AND VENDORS: All items for sale are required to be locally grown or locally made.



GUIDE: Items are listed alphabetically. New items and categories are in bold.



Things you might find include: gourmet dips, artisan Texas cheeses, home crafted items, free-range eggs, baked goods (breads, cakes, mini cheesecakes, cookies, cupcakes & pies), canned goods (jams & jellies, marmalade, hand-made clothes, preserves, pickled vegetables, salsas & relishes), local raw honey, jewelry, fried pies, plants, produce, herbal soaps, fruit wines and wood products.



Local Produce this time of year includes: broccoli, cabbage, carrots, cauliflower, garlic, greens (arugula, Chinese cabbage, collards, kale, mustard, Swiss chard & turnip), herbs, lettuce, fresh frozen shelled purple hull peas, radishes (ice-cycle & red), squash (buttercup & butternut), sweet potatoes, tomatoes (cherry, green, red & Roma) and turnips.

#2 Gail Riley will be back this Saturday, January 16. She sells home made breads including Cinnamon Raisin, Cinnamon Swirl, Honey White, Honey Wheat, Garlic Cheese, Garlic Jalapeno Cheese, Garlic Parmesan, Jalapeno Cheese, Sun-dried Tomato, Sun-dried Tomato, Parmesan, Sourdough, Sourdough Jalapeno, Rye, Pumpernickel, Cajun. #8 Returning vendor, Ann Marie Fraser will be selling Annie Moo Moo's Gourmet Goodies (jams, jellies, pickled items and salts).

#1 David Kimling will be selling home-made goat cheese from Henderson, smoked Gouda and other artisan cheeses from Waco, artisan Gouda cheese from Farwell, Tex, artisan blue & cheddar cheeses (jalapeno, sharp cheddar & caraway) from Dublin, Texas and cheeses from the Haystack Goat Cheese Company (including goat cheese, Camembert, chevre, chili Jack, half cow/half goat cheese and red cloud).



Joyce Goranson won't be at the market this Saturday (She won't be back until Jan 23). She sells Organic Kamut breads and cookies. Joyce will have FRESH Organic Breads, Spa Pillows, and "What's In A Name?" orders available. She will be FEATURING Honey Oat Crescent Rolls this week, along with Apple Raisin, 7 Grain and Flatbread Pitas & Pizza Crusts, $5 each small loaf/bag or 2 of your choice for $9. Cowboy cookies will also be on hand, along with Raisin Cowboys, Special Request!! Spa Therapy Pillows will be available in winter plaids. They are wonderful shoulder/neck warmers or for arthritic pain. The soft, breathable texture of 100% Cotton Flannel filled with flaxseed (with natural oils that hold the heat or cold) and aromatic dried lavender will be durable for repeated use for years to come. #3 Michelle Craig will be selling Mini specialty cheesecakes, assorted cookies, fried pies, fried meat pies, buttermilk pies and various other goodies.



#4 Cheryl Ivie-Harper from Maydelle Country will be at the market this Saturday. She sells fruit wines. Their wines are made in small batches and bottled one at a time with the attitude of "If it ain't fun, it ain't right." Their wine list consists of Lemon, Lime, Grapefruit, Elderberry, Blackberry, Peach, a Pear/Apricot blend (Texas Sunset), pineapple and others that will be rotated by stock. #4 Weda Scholes will be selling foccacia bread, 10 grain fermented honey loaf bread and pumpkin rolls. She won't have more eggs til later this month or whenever her new chickens start laying.



#5 Shannon White (Petalwork) will be back January the 9th or January the 16th. She makes fresh, fun, and elegant jewelry designs. #6 The Jones family from Texadus Family Farm in Timpson will be selling baked goods, brewed coffee & tea, spice blends, herbal teas, granolas, and LOW SUGAR jellies (blackberry, muscadine and apple). They will have their hand crafted goat's milk soap made from their own goat's milk available (They milk the goats!). Come by and smell them and ask questions. They will also have laundry soap bars and premixed laundry soap powder, lotion bars, chest rub, muscle rub, headache sticks, lip balms, diaper cream, and more. #7 George & Teresa Millard will be at the market this Saturday. They will be selling fresh frozen shelled pinto beans, broccoli, cabbage, carrots, cauliflower, greens (collard, kale, mustard, Swiss chard & turnip), kohlrabi, lettuce, fresh frozen shelled purple hull peas, radishes (ice-cycle & red), strawberry preserves, butternut squash and turnips.

#10 Michael Cid with the New Day Baking Company will be at the market this Saturday. He will be serving breakfast burritos, chicken fajita tacos, omelets and pancakes. He will also be selling yard eggs, fresh juices, foccacia bread and other baked goods at the farmers market made whenever possible of items from the farmers market. The New Day Baking Company is a one of a kind bakery specializing in local, organic, and gluten free products. Their guiding principles are that food should be local and sustainable while still being nutritious and above all delicious.



#11 Opal Blume will be selling beeswax, local honey, creamed honey, rosemary and cold water.



#12 Nikki Cumby (Grandma's Best) won't be at the market this Saturday (She will be back on the 23rd). She sells fried pies in a variety of flavors which include apple, apricot, peach, cherry, pineapple, chocolate, coconut, vanilla, lemon, buttermilk, pecan and sweet potato. What makes her fried pies different from others is in the fruit pies, she also use dried fruit. The size of her pies are much larger than the average pie. She also makes homemade cookies, brownies, sweet breads, pies, cakes and old fashion tea cakes. For special orders call 903-216-7438.



#13 I think Cindy Pruett with the Appleby Community Farm will be back this Saturday. She sells organic chicken pieces, pastured and organic eggs, greens (arugula, Chinese cabbage, Swiss chard, kale, collards, mustard), and herbs. Additionally, there will be dried herbs, pickled Trinidad peppers, herbed vinegars, and Tabasco sauce. VENDORS OUTSIDE COVERED AREA



Peggie Hobbs will be at the market this Saturday. She sells aprons, assorted baby items, kitchen decor items, hand-made tote bags and sunbonnets, as well as, crocheted scarves and hats to keep you warm.



Johanna Taylor will be at the market this week. She sells vegetable and herb starter plants: green beans, cabbage, cucumbers, kale, lettuce, pumpkins, spinach, squash, strawberries & tomatoes. also, mint, basil, cilantro & sage plants.

VENDORS NOT HERE THIS WEEK





I'm not sure when Jo-Jo will be back. He sells Asian BBQ (chicken-on-a-stick & pork-on-a-stick), egg-rolls and pancit noodles.



Good Roots Garden Farm won't be at the market this Saturday (They might be back later this month). They sell organic produce: carrots, dill, tomatoes (red & sungold cherry), greens (mizuna, sorrel, tatsoi, Swiss chard), garlic, lettuce mix and peppers (Bell, hot, jalapeno, Italian roasting, serrano & sweet).



Julie Rice won't be at the market this Saturday (She hopes to be back in February). She sells fresh made HOT, Med, and mild salsa, a variety of jellies and low sugar jellies (blackberry, plum, peach, figs) tasty individual Apple pies baked in a mason jar and freshly made apple-butter. Along with Soup in a jar and pickled eggs.
