Makerspace at the Public Library
Posted 03 - 24 - 2015

The Judy B. McDonald Public Library invites teens and tweens to the next Makerspace program designed to develop creativity and confidence by providing teens with tools, materials and the knowledge to use them. The next installment of the program will be Arduino Basics, and participants will learn how to design, implement and program a microcontroller project. The program will be Thursday, March 26th at 5:30 p.m. “So far, the Makerspace has been a blast,” says Crystal Hicks, assistant library director. “We’ve learned to solder and put together electronic circuitry, make kinetic sculptures, and a lot more. Each event builds on the last, but newcomers are still welcome and will be able to fit right in with the great group of kids who’ve been attending.” Please call 559-2970 to register tweens and teens 12 – 17 years old.
