OMA hosting Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Celebration

The Office of Multicultural Affairs invites the SFA and Nacogdoches community to celebrate the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. SFA students and community members will present poetry, music and art as they rejoice together in spirit. The event is set for 7 to 9 p.m., Tuesday, Feb. 17 in the Baker Pattillo Student Center Twilight Ballroom.

A keynote address by the Rev. Dr. Bernard Lafayette Jr., an original Freedom Rider, associate of King, and one of the primary organizers of the 1965 Selma voting rights movement and the Selma-to-Montgomery marches, will conclude the celebration.

Admission is $7 for faculty and staff members and community members, and $5 for students. Dinner will be provided. Dress is business casual. Tickets can be purchased at the Baker Pattillo Student Center Information Desk.
