The Nacogdoches County Chamber of Commerce is accepting applications for the Leadership Nacogdoches 2014-15 class from those who are ready to work for the success of Nacogdoches and are ready to serve. The purpose of LN is to build a network of community leaders by educating the participants about community issues, challenges, resources and opportunities. LN presents a range of options for involvement, and the graduates are prepared for the responsibilities of leadership.
Program co-chairs Paul Smith III, Roy Blake Insurance Agency, and Charlotte Ashcraft, BancorpSouth, work together with all the sessions' organizers to give the class the best possible learning experience.
"A significant commitment of time and money are required of each LN member. But the returns can be immeasurable no matter the class member’s profession, age or length of time living in Nacogdoches," Smith said. "If someone were to glance at a list of current leaders such as county commissioners, city council, business owners and administrators in education and financial institutions you would see a list of names of many Leadership Nacogdoches graduates that proves the program’s worth. ”
The deadline for submitting an application is July 18.
