Science Night for Adults at the Public Library
Posted 06 - 18 - 2014

The Judy B. McDonald Public Library will welcome Dr. Norm Markworth of the SFA Observatory for Science Night for Adults on Thursday, June 26th at 6:00 p.m..  Dr. Markworth will discuss what’s going on at the observatory and there will also be a presentation on science apps you can use every day called “There’s an App for That!”

This presentation is just one of many programs for adults, teens and children planned this summer at the library.  “You don’t have to travel to a big city to experience the wonder of the universe.  Dr, Markworth will tell us about the scientific treasure in our midst, ,the SFA Observatory,” says Mercedes Franks, library director.

Teens and adults may receive a punch card to record their summer reading progress and be entered in a bi-weekly drawing for a gift card and an end of summer grand prize drawing for a Kindle or Amazon Fire TV.

For more information on how to sign up for a library card, visit the library in person or online at http://npl.sfasu.edu.
