Parents of Nacogdoches Independent School District can express their opinions about the district through its second annual National Center for School Leadership online national benchmark survey.
The Parent Engagement and Satisfaction link can be found through Feb. 21 in a banner link on the district’s homepage — www.NacISD.org. — and is offered in both English and Spanish. This year, a QR code also is available on the Web site to assist those who would like to take the survey on a mobile device.
The 10-12 minute survey is designed to help the district understand concerns of its parents, isolate its strengths and find opportunities for improvement.
It is structured around 10 topics — academics, communication, discipline and respect, homework, monitoring student progress, outreach and engagement, quality and satisfaction, responsiveness, school climate, and school pride.
It consists of 55 five-point Likert scale questions, eight demographic related questions, and three open-ended comment questions.
NISD also will be able to see how its schools compare to others nationwide.
Results from the survey will include national norm data comparisons for each question on each report, national benchmark data broken down by item and demographic variable, a qualitative analysis of comment questions from a national sample, along with other information.
