What is the progress of the biomass power plant project?
Fuel Procurement Manager Stephen McInnis will give a project update on what will be the nation's largest biomass power plant at the Fourth Friday Luncheon, noon to 1 p.m., Mar. 27 at Hotel Fredonia.
McInnis has the primary responsibility of securing fiber fuel supply contracts for the Nacogdoches Power project. His experience in and around fuel unloading and handling systems will also help ensure wood yard engineering designs appropriately match available fuel resources. Once Nacogdoches Power is operational, McInnis will be responsible for sourcing, pricing and logistics for fuel supply.
The information presented is vital for all local businesses, and the luncheon serves as the Chamber’s monthly membership meeting. We urge you to attend and stay on top of what is going on at the Chamber and around town. Attendee RSVPs are required by Thursday, March 26. Please call 560-5533, or fax in a form, 560-3920, available at www.nacogdoches.org. Lunch is $16 at the door. All attending may enter the $50 drawing, and all Chamber members are entered in a $150 drawing, but you must be present to win. Drawings sponsored by First Bank & Trust East Texas.
