Nacogdoches residents will showcase their beautifully landscaped gardens at the 2nd Annual Tour of Home Gardens on Saturday, March 22 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Tickets are $15 and available at the Visitor Center, 200 E. Main St., starting February 1. Tickets may also be purchased at each home the day of the tour.
The Tour of Home Gardens offers a rare opportunity to view some of Nacogdoches’ finest private gardens on the beautiful Azalea Trail. Gardens featured on this year’s tour include the following:
The Tiptons, 3302 Raguet
The Cages, 1000 Northwood Circle
The Howells, 2915 Colonial Drive
The Durrs, 3723 Tudor
The Hughes, 3521 Ashcreek Circle
The Wrights, 3905 Peppermill Lane
The Old University Building, 501 Mound Street
“We had a wonderful turnout for this event last year, and we are thrilled to include it in this year’s Azalea Trail,” said Melissa Sanford, Executive Director of the Nacogdoches Convention and Visitors Bureau. “The gardens featured on the tour are some of the most beautifully landscaped outdoor spaces in Nacogdoches. They feature not only azaleas, but a wide array of other spectacular plants.”
The Tour of Home Gardens is presented by the Nacogdoches Convention and Visitors Bureau and Friends of Historic Nacogdoches. It is part of the sixteenth annual Azalea Trail, which will be held March 1-31.
