Don't miss your ride at the 7th annual Tour de Nac.

The annual bike ride includes a 25-mile, 38-mile, and new this year the 100K Century Ride beginning and ending in historic downtown Nacogdoches, the oldest town in Texas. The view from the riders’ bicycle seats include historic landmarks, scenic residential areas and the beautiful rolling hills and towering pines of the East Texas countryside.



“The Tour de Nac is a fantastic, family-oriented event offering something for everyone from the serious cyclist to the casual rider,” said Mallori Brookshire, meeting and event coordinator for the Nacogdoches Convention & Visitors Bureau.



The bike ride is set to start at 7:30 a.m. Saturday, November 23rd in downtown Nacogdoches. Designated stops sponsored by Healthy Nacogdoches Coalition, Lumberjack Lofts / Legends at SFA, M&S Pharmacy and Regions Bank will provide riders with needed rest and refreshments along the routes. Sponsors of the event this year are Chick-fil-a, Soleus Running, Regions Bank and The Bike Shop.



Fees are $30 for early registration and $35 for late registration after November 8. Only early registrants are guaranteed to receive a Tour de Nac T-shirt. Checks should be made payable to the Nine Flags Festival.



The early registration deadline is November 8 with regular registration being accepted through the day of the race. Fees are $30 for early registration; $35 for regular registration. Forms can be picked up at the Visitor Center, 200 E. Main St., or register online at www.onestoprace.com. You may also call (936)564-7351 to request a form be mailed to you. Race-day registration will be from 6-7 a.m.  Online registration will close at 12 a.m. on November 21. Registration forms will also be available for download at www.nineflagsfestival.com.



The Nine Flags Christmas Festival is a celebration of Texas history & culture and will be held November 23rd through December 14th in Nacogdoches, located about 150 miles north of Houston via U.S. 59. Nine different flags have flown over the oldest town in Texas throughout its rich history, and this year’s festival will pay special tribute to the Lone Star flag. Platinum sponsors of the festival include Commercial Bank of Texas, Lumberjack Lofts / Legends at SFA, Mike Perry Motor Company, Texas Farm Products and Walmart.
