Eighth grade students exploring careers
Posted 11 - 01 - 2013

The third Download the Future Eighth Grade Career Fair is 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., Tuesday, Nov. 12 in the SFA William R. Johnson Coliseum. All county schools and Nacogdoches I.S.D. are invited to participate. The purpose of the event is for students to learn what careers are available for them after high school and/or college and what education and training those careers require.

“More businesses are needed to participate as exhibitors,” Dr. Judy Abbott, Education committee chair and dean of SFASU James I. Perkins College of Education said. “Discuss the education, certification or degrees needed to work in your industry and the steps students need to take through high school and beyond. The career fair is an opportunity for you to connect with future customers and employees, too.”

Download the Future is a partnership between the Nacogdoches County Chamber, Stephen F. Austin State University, Nacogdoches Economic Development Corporation (NEDCO), GenTX and county school districts and sponsored by Brookshire Brothers.
