With the September issue, Piney Woods Live magazine will begin serving the Nacogdoches arts community.
NACOGDOCHES, TX, SEPTEMBER 2013– Residents of Nacogdoches are now discovering Piney Woods Live magazine available free in commercial locations across the city. Distribution began with the September issue, which features a story about the hard work and dedication of high school students who perform every Friday night during halftime.
The magazine, which began publication in 2010, focuses on local artists and musicians. According to Tracy Magness, copublisher, “Piney Woods Live’s goal is to bring awareness to the people of East Texas that there are many very talented people in the area who deserve the community’s attention and support.” The magazine welcomes community member submission of news and events items for publication.
An opening reception and ribbon cutting in Nacogdoches is in the planning stages for the month of October.
“We have known all along that Nac is home to a lively artistic community, and we are excited by the opportunity to bring that news to a wider audience,” said Gary Krell, co-publisher.
The publication actively seeks advertisers, in print and on their website, who wish to reach the magazine's more than 25,000 engaged readers.
