Posted 06 - 25 - 2013

Good afternoon!

Changes made to the state student assessments has led to a change in the summer testing schedule for Nacogdoches High School. Attached is a release with the new schedule. Thank you for helping us share this information with our students and their parents.

Have a great evening!

NACOGDOCHES- A change in testing requirements by the Texas Legislature through by House Bill 5, has led to an altered testing schedule for Nacogdoches High School students.

All Testing begins at 8 a.m. on the designated dates, and students must report to the NHS library.

The testing schedule is as follows:

Monday, July 8 English I Writing TAKS Exit Level ELA

Tuesday, July 9 English I Reading TAKS Exit Level Math

Wednesday, July 10 English 2 Writing TAKS Exit Level Science

Thursday, July 11 English 2 Reading TAKS Exit Level Social Studies

Friday, July 12 Make-ups for English 1 and 2 tests

Monday, July 15 Algebra 1

Tuesday, July 16 Biology

Wednesday, July 17 US History

HB-5 reduced the number of required end-of-course assessments from 15 to five; allows students to meet graduation assessment requirements by passing English Language Arts I and II, Algebra I, biology and history; and eliminated the requirement that end-of-course assessments determine 15 percent of a student’s course grade.
