Farm to Table cooking demonstration at the hitch lot
The City of Nacogdoches Main Street Program, the Nacogdoches Farmer’s Market and Memorial Cooking Innovations are excited to present a Farm to Table cooking demonstration on Saturday, May 11th, 2013. The demonstration will take place on site at the Farmer’s Market, located at 107 W. Pearl Street near the north end of the market at approximately 10 a.m.
Lufkin’s own Chef Mani and certified registered dietician Tim Scallon will be on site selecting items from our own vendors to use in the cooking demonstration. Memorial Cooking Innovations is a 30-minute cooking show featuring diabetic friendly foods that are easy and delicious to prepare. You can watch the show here in Nacogdoches on Channel 2. The vast variety of fresh local produce at the Nacogdoches Farmer’s Market will tie in perfectly to their typical repertoire.
“Huge thanks to our wonderful advisory board member Carol Shaw for coordinating this exciting event, I have heard wonderful things about Chef Mani and Tim Scallion and we are honored to have them at the market on May 11th” said Main Street Manager Sarah O’Brien.
