City asks residents to comply with brush and limb removal guidelines

NACOGDOCHES- As the summer heat continues to set in, and residents stay busy maintaining their lawns, it is important that they remember the guidelines for brush and limb removal. The City of Nacogdoches picks up limbs, brush, and yard waste from any residential address free of charge to the resident. Only residential addresses are allowed to place yard waste in front of their homes for pick up. The City of Nacogdoches does not pick up yard waste generated by professional service companies such as lawn care or tree trimming businesses. It is the responsibility of those professional companies to dispose of any waste they generate from yard work.

It is especially important during this time of year that residents follow the established guidelines relating to location and type of yard waste to be picked up.  Brush pick up works on a rotating schedule around the City, and cannot be scheduled by residents. Residents can be assured that if the items are placed properly according to the established guidelines the waste will be removed in a timely fashion. Copies of the Brush & Limb removal guidelines are available on the City’s website and on the City’s facebook page.
