Pineywoods SHRM presents “Iceberg Avoidance: Work-Oriented Assessments” by Bob Panico

Workplace assessments can be predictors of success.

Lufkin, August 10, 2012:
Is your business stuck in a developmental rut? Feel like your management is in a cycle of “reactive” instead of “proactive”? Bob Panico of RHSweeney Associates brings us “Iceberg Avoidance: Work-Oriented Assessments” at this month’s Pineywoods SHRM luncheon August 23, 2012 from 12:00pm-1:00pm at Crown Colony Country Club.

Bob Panico, a firm believer of talent management training, states that this presentation will teach participants “to learn why, where and how to use assessments; gain information on how to judge the value, and, recognize validation and compliance issues inherent to using these tools, especially for hiring and promotion.” This session will not only give you the upper hand in assessing the true talents of your team, but it will give you the incentive to use those talents to stand above the competition and bring true success to your company.

With an Undergraduate Degree in Sociology from the University of St. Thomas, and a Graduate Degree in Systems Management from the University of Southern California, Bob Panico is well rounded in developmental training and consulting. However, Bob isn’t just books and business. After serving 20 years in the United States Marine Corps, Bob retired as a Major and logged over 1,300 hours in the F/4 Phantom fighter jet as a combat aviator.

Once his feet were safely on the ground, he spent 25 years in corporate positions as well as 10 years in consulting. These corporate roles primarily consisted of executive HR functions for large global companies such as Tetra Pak, Rexam and Amcor.

Headquartered in Hurst, Texas, Bob has worked for RHSweeney Associates since 2009 as an organizational and leadership consultant. His clients include a wide variety of companies equipping leadership on how to increase productivity and growth through making optimal people decisions.

Grapevine, TX is currently home to Bob and his wife of 25 years, Debbie Sue Wilson. They have a 19 year old daughter, Cara, who attends school in Austin.
