The McClain Foundation was formed by Dr. & Mrs. Gregory D. McClain in July 2009 upon returning to East Texas. This entity was created with the sole purpose of giving back to the community and its youth. Project PRISSM (Providing Resources to Increase Success in Science and Mathematics) will award 5 scholarships each year to students pursuing a college degree in the field of science or math. This foundation is sponcering the 2010 Walter Davis Camp.

The 2010 5 Star Walter Davis Elite Basketball Skills Camp is presented by the NBA 15 year veteran Walter Davis. After already winning a gold medal in 1976, Mr. Davis was the 5th overall pick of the 1977 NBA Draft. He played for the Phoenix Suns from 1978-88, the Denver Nuggets from 1989-91, the Portland Trail Blazers for half a season in 1991, then back to the Denver Nuggets in 1992 to finish his career. He is the Suns’ All Time Leading Scorer with 15,666 points, he won the 1978 Rookie of the Year Award, and he is 6 Time NBA All-Star.

This camp is from June 19-23 and workouts start at 8:30 A.M. Monday morning. Only for kids from 7th-12th grade. Registration begins 8:00 Monday morning.
