Nacogdoches County Chamber of Commerce Accredited with 4 Stars

The United States Chamber of Commerce announced that the Nacogdoches County Chamber of Commerce has received 4 Star Accreditation and is among the top 3% of the Chambers of Commerce in the United States.
The Accreditation process is a distinction that only 208 Chambers out of about 7000 Chambers of Commerce have achieved. This process indicates that the Nacogdoches County Chamber has met the high standards necessary to be granted Accreditation, the only program of its kind in the country that recognizes excellence in Chamber planning and performance.
The United States Chamber of Commerce commends the Nacogdoches County Chamber of Commerce for this accomplishment. In their letter they state, “Not only has your chamber demonstrated that it has met the high standards necessary to be granted Accreditation, it went above and beyond the minimum requirements and was awarded the Accredited with 4 Stars designation at our most recent board meeting. This prestigious achievement is a testament to your organization’s sound policies, effective organizational procedures and positive impact on your community.”
Accreditation is one of the highest honors bestowed on Chamber’s that support pro-growth and economic policies at the federal, state and local levels.
“I am very proud of my Board of Directors and the Chamber staff for their contribution to this effort,” said C. Wayne Mitchell, IOM, President and CEO of the Nacogdoches County Chamber of Commerce said. “Without their support and participation this accomplishment would not be possible.”
The Nacogdoches County Chamber of Commerce is a 501c6 business association representing approximately 800 businesses in Nacogdoches County. Founded in 1919, the Nacogdoches County Chamber will celebrate its 100th Anniversary in 2019.
