The SFA planetarium is one of the most sophisticated in the state of Texas with a 50-foot diameter nano-seam dome and a state-of-the-art 4K Digistar 6 projection system. This system can project the night sky of stars and planets as seen from anywhere on the Earth with digital precision. Full-dome shows use a combination of stunning visual effects, vivid colors, dramatic motion and powerful surround sound to immerse audiences in thrilling voyages of discovery. The planetarium has seating for 114 and is wheelchair friendly. For the hearing impaired, there is an assistive listening system available.
